How can I balance powerlifting with distance running?

I've been a powerlifter for a few years now but I also want to start increasing my cardio workouts. I usually only do 3 mile runs a couple times a week but I want to eventually increase to about 10 miles. However, long distance running can limit gains in powerlifting. Has anybody done both with good results and how? Also, which supplements did you take? (Iím steroid free.)
