I am in Colorado and I would like to know what would it take to get more meets here. I have tried to contact the local chairman but i got no response .

If you personally are interested in running some meets, I would call Amy Jackson, and get some more info from her. Other than just following the APF rules/proceedures for running meets, you simply need to have the meet pre-approved, and pay the $85 sanction fee.
