Open monolift
Mike, Hopefully this may help some of the guys/gals going to Finland. I found out that over there they will be using an open momolift. For those who has not ever used one it takes some getting used to. My personal experience has been when I was in Belgium they used an open monolift. When you stand in the monolift everything is behind you as opposed to being in front of you now. If your not used to it it will give you an optical illusion of nowhere to focus. You may weave or sway a bit until you can get your bearings. To combat this we are going to turn around in the monolift we have an face out so everything is behind so its not an issue. It may not be an issue to most of the guys/girls but I thought I'd throw it out there.

excellent comment...
Metal makes these take anything a WPC lifter do in it. The warm up room will have three of the exact same typs as the platform..

Qualifying for the AWPC Worlds
Quick question for you. I would like to compete at the AWPC worlds in The Ukraine. How do I qualify? Can I do it at an AAPF meet and does it need to be the Nationals? Thanks.

Well
The best path is to qualify at the American AWPC Nationals, but you can send in a resume and ask for concideration on a open slot.
