RECORD RECOGNITION

Post  RYAN RIGDON on Wed Oct 28, 2009 11:42 pm

I AM WONDERING IF I CAN GET THE RECORDS UPDATED FOR INDIANA. BACK IN 2007 I COMPETED AT BRENT MIKESELL'S MEET IN SPOKANE WASHINGTON. THERE I COMPETED IN THE SUBMASTER DIVISON FOR 275LB CLASS. EVEN THOUGH I WAS REGISTERED AS A SUBMASTER WILL THAT ENTITLE ME TO BREAK THE OPEN RECORDS AS WELL. MY PERFORMANCE THERE IS AS FOLLOWS

SQUAT 805
BENCH 660
DEAD 600
TOTAL 2065

WITH THAT SAID I BELIEVE THAT THE FOLLOWING INDIANA RECORDS SHOULD BE IN MY NAME. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG IN ANYWAY. ONE MORE THING ABOUT THE COMPETITION I WAS LIVING IN INDIANA AT THE TIME OF THE MEET. LEGAL RESIDENT FOR INDIANA. FOR YOUR CONVIENCE.

MENS POWERLIFTING
OPEN
J HOWERY 570 (BENCH PORTION)

SUB-MASTER POWERLIFTING
CHIP BECK 530 425 575 1500

MEN BENCH PRESS
OPEN J HOWERY 570
SUB-MASTER CHIP BECK 425

I would contact the Indiana State Chairman directly:

Larry Hoover
RR 3 Box 164
Princeton, IN 47670
812-385-9932
Quad4hoov@peoplepc.com

That being said, I'm not sure how Larry works it in Indiana, but in Illinois you have to lift in a meet within the Illinois borders to break an IL State Record. I know other states allow you to break records while competing in APF meets out of state. Generally you still have to fill out a record application and turn it into your state chairman in order to recieve credit for the record.

I HAVE TRIED THAT AFTER THE MEET. NOTHING HAPPENED IF NOTHING DOES HAPPEN I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE OVER AS TO CORRECTING THE RECORDS FOR HIM.

HOWEVER I WILL TRY AGAIN. IF NOTHING HAPPENS THEN I WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT. THANX ERIC.
